lace question

I was digging around in the sewing room and found a chunk of lace that would be perfect for a Gothic choker.
The problem is, it is pretty soft and floppy and I'm afraid it would stretch itself to bits on the first wearing.
Is there a way to stabilize it?

Yeah, starch it. Liquid starch still exists, and it works pretty well on synthetic lace. You might do a test piece to see if the starch needs to be tinted black (it probably doesn't).
