lace question

erzsebetaI was digging around in the sewing room and found a chunk of lace that would be perfect for a Gothic choker.
The problem is, it is pretty soft and floppy and I'm afraid it would stretch itself to bits on the first wearing.
Is there a way to stabilize it?
